Created by Mediatonic and published by Devolver Digital, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been dominating multiple platforms. Available on PS4 and Steam and designed to resemble shows such as Takeshi's Castle, It's a Knockout, and Total Wipeout. The game is full of chaos with up to 60 players in a party at a time in a game of elimination until 1 person remains.
Within 24 hours of its release Fall Guys had over 1.5 million players on Steam, and only a couple shorts weeks later had sold over 7 million copies on Steam, and held the record for most downloaded game on PS Plus. At this time, the game has reached over 10 million sales on steam. The popularity of Fall Guys is largely due to the bean-like characters, their wacky costumes/skins, and the utter chaos of the game.
At any point in time you can join in the fun, and pull up a live stream on Twitch and watch people engrossed in the game.
I personally have not played this one, but have watched plenty of game play, both in person, and online, and must say that this is definitely on my christmas list, as I grew up watching all the shows this game was based off off, primarily Takeshi's Castle in the form of MXC (which you can currently stream with Amazon Prime - guess how I spent my Thanksgiving break), and I am excited to create some of that hilarity on my own.
