Outriders was developed by People Can Fly, and published by Square Enix. This game is a combination of things that I feel contributes to its success, such as being a single player RPG or a co-op game. So, you can complete the game along, or you can play with up to two other people. Giving new life to the single player RPG which isn't the developers preferred games to make, as it has more of a one and done build and release with expansions being the main source of additional revenue on a game, vs the multiplayer or co-op games which have microtransactions, and events people choose to spend money on to play, and being more of a living game. My personal preference will always be in single player RPG, as I like to take my time, and do things my way, and I am not a huge fan of the incredibly face placed, and obnoxiously completive multi-player games. So, the fact that is has both opens up a big opportunity to be able to serve both markets.
The game takes place after Earth is past the point of no return. Climate change and the disastrous effects it has forces the people of each to go to a similar planet in hopes of finding refuge, and new life. Things don't go their way, but a group of people are on a mission to make sure they are the apex predators on the planet, and that they can make this new planet a home.
This game is a lot of fun. It's a fun story, good graphics, and I still have a lot more left to play! I'm exited to continue as it has drawn me in. Friends of mine have been playing the co-op as well they also have nothing but good things to say! I definitely recommend if you are into the survival shooter games. Have you played yet, or do you plan to? Let me know!
